Hingham High School Names David Leahy as Boys Varsity Soccer Coach

Principal Rick Swanson and Director of Athletics Jim Quatromoni are proud to announce David Leahy as the next Boys’ Varsity Soccer Head Coach at Hingham High School.

Leahy most recently has been an assistant coach on Ken Carlin's staff in Hingham for the last two seasons.  He brings 23 years of experience to his next role as Head Coach. Coach Leahy has head coaching experience at The Winchenden School, Thayer Academy and Whitman Hanson Regional High School.  Coach Leahy also has been active in the club soccer coaching circuit.

"I have always admired the passion, athleticism, camaraderie and intelligence that are hallmarks of Hingham soccer," Leahy said.  "I am beyond excited to continue upholding these values with this program."

"We are extremely fortunate to have a coach with the level of experience and familiarity with our student-athletes that Coach Leahy has," Quatromoni said.  "We are looking forward to seeing him embrace his new role with our program and helping our student-athletes achieve the best versions of themselves on and off of the field." 

Leahy had a standout playing career.  He was a student-athlete at Thayer Academy and played college soccer at Hobart William Smith. 





Hingham High School Names April Tremante as Girls Varsity Soccer Coach

Principal Rick Swanson and Director of Athletics Jim Quatromoni are proud to announce April Tremante as the next Varsity Girls Soccer Head Coach at Hingham High School.

Tremante joins the Hingham High School athletic department with experience at the highest levels of collegiate soccer.  Previously, she was the varsity coach at Weston High School in Connecticut.  Most recently, Coach Tremante worked as an assistant at Duxbury High School.  She has also worked as a small group trainer for local college student athletes.

"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be the Head Coach of the Hingham High School Girls Soccer team," Tremante said.  "Hingham has historically been a strong program with competitive players. I am looking forward to the chance to continue the tradition and positive culture in this great community."

Tremante had a standout playing career as a scholarship player at Boston College.  Early on, Coach Tremante embraced leadership becoming a captain of her team at Boston College.
